Kalyn Vick has been appointed the new Director of Education at Junior Achievement of South Central Kentucky. In her role, Vick will lead and manage all Junior Achievement educational programs in the Bowling Green area and the surrounding South Central Kentucky region.
Junior Achievement provides programs that serve over 10,000 local K-12 students annually. The objectives of these programs are teaching valuable skills like work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy in order to make the students successful in their future lives, both at work and in their personal lives.
Kalyn Vick expressed enthusiasm over the new position. Vick said, I am truly excited to make a difference in the lives of students within our Kentucky communities. I have always had a passion to help students succeed, and I genuinely believe in building a better, stronger community that we all would be proud to belong to.
Before joining Junior Achievement, Vick gained experience working with the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce. The President of the Junior Achievement organization, Lauren Griffing, was very complimentary of her leadership and stated, “Kalyn has so much to offer the organization of Junior Achievement. It gives us much pleasure to have her on board to conduct our teaching. It is through her effort that our organization is there.”
Kalyn Vick is a native of Mayfield, Kentucky, where she received her Bachelor of Public Relations degree from Murray State University. She currently resides in Bowling Green with her husband, Blake, and two children, James and Emma.
Junior Achievement, with her leadership, believes that it can keep growing its influence and help students acquire the skills necessary to overcome the barriers the future workplace will have to offer, and enable them to become a more formidable presence in the local community.
